MAKROVISION™

SOLID EXTRUDED HIGH OPTICAL QUALITY TRANSPARENT POLYCARBONATE SHEET THAT HAS SUPERIOR CLARITY AND IMPACT STRENGTH AT A LOWER WEIGHT THAN GLASS.

MAKROVISION™ has outstanding high transparency and clarity. The product is designed specifically with optical quality in mind with technical expertise gained over decades of production experience in polycarbonate sheet extrusion at Arla Plast Plast. MAKROVISION™ is now frequently replacing glass and acrylics where optical quality is required but also in applications where cost saving is required as polycarbonate is half the weight of glass. The product has very high mechanical and impact resistance too and very good fire performance versus acrylics. QUALITY

MAKROVISION™ has an outstanding high clarity and surface quality, making it the best choice for replacing other transparent plastics and glass. The constant high quality level and measurement thereof in purpose build laboratories also helps to produce specific products for window, windscreens and glazing applications with measured dioptries, etc.

FIRE PERFORMANCE

In case of a fire, a MAKROVISION™ sheet will melt and create a passage where heat and smoke can be vented or will be let out. It will have no contribution to the growth of a fire through flame spread.

IMPACT STRENGTH

MAKROVISION™ has more than 10 times the impact strength of high impact PMMA and more than twice the impact strength of PETG, yet is very easy to thermoform or cold bend into complex shapes.

APPLICATION AREAS

The unique properties of MAKROVISION™ makes it a perfect solution for applications where high optical quality is required such as windows, machine protection, safety glazing, ice hockey rinks, vandal protection, soundwalls, laminations, ballistics protection etc.
