MULTICLEAR™ SOLAR CONTROL Silica Green provides pleasant ambiance by allowing greater light transmission compared to standard tinted products whilst keeping the infra-red heat out.

This obviously reduces air conditioning cost if the heat is over-bearing. The silica green combination of colour provides an aesthetically pleasing product allowing greater light transmission whilst keeping the product transparent with a tint only.

There spread of light is even and the surface is textured on the inner layer. Good cleanability and appearance with light diffusion and diffraction hides dirt or marks on the sheet. The light diffusion and transmission are much better than standard tinted products.

UV PROTECTION

MULTICLEAR™ SOLAR CONTROL SG is standard one side UV protected and two side UV protection is also available for the range. The product is produced with uniform UV layer hence optimum protection against discoloration and loss in mechanical properties. There is a 10 year limited warranty against discolouration, loss of impact strength and light transmission due to weathering.

APPLICATION AREAS

The veranda, conservatories and atriums built with transparent and translucent materials will allow heat build up by solar transmission inside the building and in hot summer months this is unbearable.

The solar transmission comprises of UV, Visible and Infra-red spectrum. The UV radiation is harmful to human skin and can cause cancer of the skin. The visible spectrum provides the light that helps to create a pleasant mood and allow better concentration or focus. The infra-red part is known as the heat energy. The solar control product allows the light transmission whilst stopping the heat build up.

It is important to allow light transmittance whilst keeping the heat out which can be unbearable in summer months.
